Mark Lonsway

Bio

Mark Lonsway is a Nashville-based musician, songwriter, producer, mix engineer, and artist whose career has taken him from the studio to some of the most recognizable stages in the country.

Over the years, Mark has built a reputation as the kind of musician who can wear a lot of hats—and wear them well. As a producer, engineer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, vocal producer, and background vocalist, he has helped bring countless projects to life. As a sideman and touring musician, he has shared stages with artists including Terri Clark, Cassadee Pope, and Mickey Guyton, while also opening shows for artists such as Gary Allan, Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts, and Taylor Swift.

His work has taken him into some of Nashville's most iconic rooms, including the Ryman Auditorium, Grand Ole Opry, and Bluebird Café, as well as studios and stages across the country. His playing, songwriting, and production work have also found their way into television, film, and national advertising, with appearances and credits connected to The Today Show, CBS Sunday Morning, Good Morning America, Orange Is the New Black, and Hallmark's Roadhouse Romance, along with campaigns for brands including Allstate, Busch Beer, and McDonald's.

But music has never been just a job for Mark. It's the common thread running through everything he does.

Whether he's behind a console, in a tracking room, on stage with another artist, or performing his own songs, Mark approaches music with the same goal: make it feel real. His experience on both sides of the glass has given him a unique perspective on songwriting, performance, production, and what makes a song connect.

Now, Mark is putting more of that perspective into his own music. As an artist, he draws from years spent living the Nashville music life—its long roads, late nights, hard work, good times, and everything in between.

Mark's latest single, “Angel's Circling,” arrives September 18, continuing a new chapter that puts his own voice and songwriting front and center once again.

From the studio to the stage, Mark Lonsway is a musician in the truest sense of the word—someone who doesn't just make music, but lives in it.
